Principal photography ended in late July for Star Wars Episode VIII, meaning that the physical camera shoot wrapped, barring any subsequent re / additional shoots. And now, Rian Johnson has instragrammed an image showing that the edit has begun for Star Wars Episode VIII.
Exciting times and of course this means that there is a possibility of a trailer being attached to Rogue One this September. And while that possibility is tiny, it's still a possibility. Obviously the argument can be made for detracting away from Rogue One with people just turning up for an Episode VIII trailer, but given the footage we've seen from Gareth Edward's take on all things Star Wars, that's very, very, VERY unlikely.
