With an impressive cast that includes Amy Adams, Jake Gyllenhaal, Michael Shannon, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Armie Hammer, Isla Fisher, Andrea Riceborough, and Michael Sheen, writer/director Tom Ford’s (A Single Man) adaption of Austin Wright novel Susan and Tony, Nocturnal Animals, sees Susan (Adams)a successful art dealer, sent a thrilling and intense manuscript for a novel written by her ex-husband Edward (Gyllenhaal), based on their relationship. The story is then split in two, following the story that is told in the manuscript and the real world where Susan is forced to contemplate their failed marriage.
Well, this is certainly intriguing. While it doesn’t give much away about the plot, there’s no denying it looks absolutely gorgeous, and the cast promise to be on top of their game. This is poised for release during awards season, so don’t be surprised if you hear a lot about this one during next year’s Oscar race.
