The LEGO Movie opened up the flood gates when it came to movies based on the colourful brick based toy line that litters many a living room around the world. We’re already eagerly awaiting Will Arnett’s return as the brick-ified Dark Knight in February’s The LEGO Batman Movie, and now we get our our first look at The LEGO Ninjago Movie, via USA Today, in the form of a brief clip from a short attached to the upcoming Storks. Entitled The Master: A LEGO Ninjago Short, we’re introduced to Jackie Chan as Master Wu, mentor to the movie’s band of LEGO ninjas, and given a taste of what the movie has in store for us.
Also featuring the voices of Dave Franco, Michael Peña, Abbi Jacobson, Kumail Nanjiani, Zach Woods, Fred Armisen, Justin Theroux and Olivia Munn, the movie follows six young ninja warriors as they juggle defending their island home of Ninjago with going to high school, and is set for release on September 22nd 2017.
