While we’re all raving over their incredibly strong brace of t.v. shows, let’s not forget Netflix are also knocking it out of the park with their documentaries, with two even been nominated in last year’s Oscars. Their latest effort is Amanda Knox, providing insight into the media frenzy that surrounded the murder case of Meredith Keecher, and the global speculation and media attention heaped upon lead suspect, her British roommate Amanda Knox, twice convicted and twice acquitted by Italian courts. Directors Rod Blackhurst (Tribeca Audience Award-winner Here Alone) and Brian McGinn (IDA Award-winner Chef’s Table) wade head first into the nearly decades long case, which still divides people with it’s legal findings, exploring the case from inside and out, with exclusive interviews with Knox, her former co-defendant and ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, Italian prosecutor Giuliano Mignini and Daily Mail reporter Nick Pisa. Check out the first trailer below.
Amanda Knox comes to the streaming service on September 30th.
