UPDATE - For those wondering how R-Rated this movie would be, a U.K. trailer has come on line showing exactly that featuring some brutal claw to the head action. Just skip to 1:27 to get your dose of super hero violence.
Set to Johnny Cash’s Hurt, musical shorthand for bleak and depressing, the first trailer for Logan is here, heralding Hugh Jackman’s final bow as Wolverine in fantastic fashion. Promising the darkest X-Men movie to date, it sets up a desolate future where mutants on the brink of extinction and Logan finds his healing powers lost to him effectively while heavily hinting that fan favourite X-23, a younger female clone of Wolverine and heir to the mantle, will play a big role in proceedings.
I gotta say, I’m in love with this trailer. From the Western setting to the darker themes at play to the glimpses of some hard hitting action, Jackman and director James Mangold are promising one hell of an R-Rated curtain call for the character we first met on the big screen 16 years ago.
Released: 2nd March 2017 (IRL/U.K.)/3rd March 2017 (U.S.)
