All eyes are on Assassin’s Creed to see if it can buck the trend offbeat video game to movie adaptions, and while we have a few more weeks to wait till we see the finished product, 20th Century Fox has unveiled the first clip featuring Michael Fassbender’s Callum Lynch getting to grips with the Animus, the machine that helps him relive the memories of his ancestors, namely 15th century assassin Aguilar.
Fans of the game series have been up in arms about the design of the new Animus, previously just a chair people sat in, but some re-envisioing was needed to make the device that bit more cinematic and they really hit the nail on the head with this redesign. On top of that, director Justin Kurzel (McBeth) has a real knack for creating arresting imagery and you know he’ll have a field day exploiting all the visual potential of this new Animus.
