Ahead of the first trailer on Sunday, a new featurette for Ghost in the Shell has come our way, giving us a behind the scenes look at Scarlett Johansson in action as the kick-ass The Major and featuring the original Anime’s director Mamoru Oshii giving his blessing to Johansson’s casting, a turn of events that stirred up another Hollywood white-washing controversy, casting a Caucasian actress in an Asian role while skewing closer to the culture for it’s setting and supporting cast. We’re not going to add to it here, but judging from the brief glimpses we’ve seen so far, fans of the original should be greatly eased with the finished project.
