Kicking off with an updated version of the ‘Choose Life’ speech, the first official trailer for Trainspotting 2 is here and the only bad thing about it is that we have to wait till January for the full movie. Checking in on Renton (Ewan McGregor), Sickboy (Jonny Lee Miller), Spud (Ewan Bremmer), and Begbie (Robert Carlyle) twenty years after the events of the first movie, nothing much is known about the story, only that is actually just loosely based on Irvine Welsh’s sequel, Porno, to the original novel. This first trailer is absolutely glorious, a joyful return of characters just about everybody knows and loves, and you just know Danny Boyle and co. will deliver a cracker of a movie to kick start the new year.
