The first, incredibly impressive trailer for The Mummy, the opening shot of Universal’s planned Monsters shared universe, came our way yesterday, giving us a hint of what the studio has in store for it’s collection of classic movie monsters, with Frankenstein’s Monster and The Invisible Man also coming our way. A new behind the scenes featurette has come our way, giving us a better look at The Mummy, including director Alex Kurtzman’s sticking with the practical over CGI, from massive sets to dizzying practical effects, and a bout of fisticuffs between Tom Cruise’s hero Nick Morton and Russell Crowe’s Dr. Jekyll.
