The DCEU comes to the big screen once again with this Summer’s Wonder Woman, and one final trailer for DC Comic’s iconic heroine has come our way. A little more story focused than the previous trailers, we get our clearest look at the basic story, with the evil machinations of Doctor Poison (Elena Anaya) luring Diana (Gal Gadot) away from her island home and thrusting her into the middle of World War I.
Despite the two previous efforts from the DCEU, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Suicide Squad, leaving a bad taste in the mouths of many audiences and critics alike, I find myself rooting for Wonder Woman. I don’t want to hate a DC Comics’ cinematic universe, but previous efforts have mishandled the characters horribly. The hopeful feel and old school tone of Wonder Woman has me confident that director Patty Jenkins can pull this off, but, of course, time will tell.
