While I usually roll my eyes whenever I hear word of a decades late sequel, I’m giving Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049 a pass, and that’s mainly down to how stunningly beautiful this looks (not hard when you work with legendary cinematographer Roger Deakins). Capturing the look and spirt of the 30 plus years old sequel perfectly, this movie promises to be a visual feast. Thankfully, Villeneuve has a track record for delivering start, thought provoking narratives, so we can rest assured this won’t just be style over substance. Check it out for yourself below.
Released: October 6th
Synopsis: Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
