He’s back on board for The Invention of Hugo Cabret. Marty optioned this a few years back but it moved onto Chris Wedge (Ice Age) but is now back at the hands of the recent Golden Globe winner. The Invention of Hugo Cabret is a book by Brian Selznick and it follows the story of a young boy who lives in a train station. His father dies, but before he kicks the bucket he show’s his son his latest invention. A Robot who has an important message and would deliver its important message if only there were some way to turn it on. So the young lad sets about trying to uncover the message and turn the robot on!
A bit of a departure for Martin Scorsese, as it’s a bit different from what he normally brings to the big screen, but the story is fantastic and in the hands of Scorsese it surely will be a must watch!
