The Shanghai International Film Festival is in full swing and our good friend Simon Delaney is over there, along with Zonad director John Carney and producer Andrew Lowe. According to THR there has never been such a large Irish delegation as Ondine is also competing for the Jin Jue award. It’s the first time an Irish film has been nominated and the jury is headed up by John Hard Boiled Woo.
Either way, it’s probably bad news for Shanghai as the Irish, once they adjust to the time difference, will no doubt do the tourist thing…and find a few Irish bars!
Good luck to them all!
