The Sweeney, the 70’s TV show that I remember but never watched is going to make it’s big screen debut in the not so distant future and joblo have an article that see’s a potential lead role battle between Daniel Craig, Ewan McGregor, Orlando Bloom and tom Hardy. The TV show, I’m sure like the movie, will be about the flying squad who take on organized crime or something. Over the last few years there has been a solid staple of old British TV shows being turned into movies. State of Play, The Equalizer is also on the cards and now this. I would have thought that from a financial perspective these movies won’t break the bank, but the lack of audience might!
