When a movie gets an origin story, there’s always a possibility that the original director would’nt be attached. But Ridley Scott, as you know is game on for the Alien Prequels..or Alien Prequel in 2 parts. The script is nearly complete as Lost co-creator Damon Lindoff is furiously belting it out. Scott has been speaking to The Independent in the UK (so tis not the Irish one, obviously…Duh!!!) and said
"The film will be really tough, really nasty. It's the dark side of the moon. We are talking about gods and engineers. Engineers of space. And were the aliens designed as a form of biological warfare? Or biology that would go in and clean up a planet?" Scott also spoke of Aliens director, James Cameron and said . "Jim's raised the bar and I've got to jump to it, he's not going to get away with it."
Now, I don’t know about you, but that just sounds absolutely awesome. So the Aliens were glorified sanitation workers all the time….
