Here is something to warm your stone cold heart of a Friday. A young girl in a London school sent a letter to Captain Jack Sparrow, asking for help to organise a mutiny against the teachers. So, what does one of the biggest movie stars in the world, who’s currently shooting in Pinewood studios, do? He turns up to the school as Captain Jack, performs for 15 minutes and just makes a young girls dream come true. Although he declined to lead the mutiny as he said they might get into trouble!
Words can’t describe how fantastic this act was. I’m sure somebody, somewhere is roaring publicity for Pirates 4. Well considering the thing is still shooting, there is no way in hell you can call this a publicity stunt. It’s just a genuine act of kindness. Can you imagine what the kids must have though. Christ, even the teachers must have wet themselves! Anyway, pics and video below. I wonder If I wrote a letter to the Lawnmower man would he come sort out my grass? Out of curiosity, have YOU ever written to a movie star for anything, and got a reply? Personally, I haven’t really, excluding a personalised 10x8 of Jim Belushi when I bought his album.
