Warner Bros. are considering a Pepe Le Pew movie. The movie would be set in a real word setting (ala Garfield and the forthcoming Yogi Bear) with the skunk been a CGI creation. As for the voice, well Mike Myers could be getting his snail eating on as he’s tipped for the lead voice role. Either way, here’s a movie that writes it’s own marketing. One way or the other, it’ll involve the word stink! Don’t get me wrong, I love the Looney Tunes and the Merrie melodies (where Pepe first turned up in 1945) stuff, but can it translate to today's kids? I guess the benchmark could well be Yogi Bear. More than likely it’ll be a lot of sentimental Dads dragging their kids along, who are more at home with Pixar and Dreamworks than anything else! That said, Pepe would be way down my list of cartoon characters. Anyway…
