First it was the New Zealanders and now it’s their closest (ish, I’m not David Attenborough) neighbours, the Aussies who are making headlines when it comes to movie delays. The Australian (via Empire) reports that the fourth Mad Max movie has been delayed (again) and will not begin filming until 2012. Some of the key crew members have been told not to expect to return to pre-production work until August or November of NEXT year, which must be a major kick in the teeth for bank balances. Obviously, more bad news for the film industry on that side of the globe which comes at a time when Peter Jackson recently accused the Aussies of being a jealous bully boy with the Hobbit shenanigans.
Anyway, one country’s problem is another's delight. What does a Mad Max movie need? Some sweeping vista’s and some shitty roads littered with impact craters..sorry potholes! Hey!!! Mad Max people!!!! Hello??
