While the real life Phil Spector is currently serving 19 years following the shooting dead of Lana Clarkson (in second degree murder) Al Pacino will be brushing up on the Wall of Sound, The Beatles and gun crime. The Scarface star is set to play Spector in a movie that will chronicle his life. The movie, as of yet untitled will be written and directed by David Mamet (who’s previous writing credits include Glengary Glen Ross and The Untouchables) and Barry Levinson will lend his name to the executive producer credit!
