20th Century Fox have put the stops to Ridley Scott's Alien prequels, well, for awhile anyway. The film has been officially delayed for a 2013 and 2014 release date. Last we heard, things had been ticking away nicely, but after apparent arguments over budget, script, etc, it seems Fox isn't quite ready to revive the franchise just yet. The story hit over at Script Flags, where they're also reporting that Olivia Wilde (Tron: Legacy) and Noomi Rapace (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo) are current front runners for the lead in the prequels.
