Since the original article below was posted, Christopher Nolan and producer Emma Thomas have said that unseen footage of Ledger will NOT appear in The Dark Knight Rises. So it ain’t happening! And it’s probably for the best!
Here’s something that may or may not happen. Christopher Nolan is reportedly considering using unseen footage (shot for The Dark Knight) of Heath Ledger in the forthcoming Dark Knight Rises. It’s been suggested by some people (who knows who) that Nolan is keen to pay tribute to Ledger. According to sources “The idea is to use these fragments of cut scenes and use CGI to have The Joker appear one last time," a source explained. "Chris wants some continuity between movies and for the franchise to pay tribute to Heath and his portrayal of the Joker." #
Take it for what it’s worth! Good idea or bad idea? Personally, I don’t know. It would be a nice tribute but I’m not sold on the idea of the whole thing. Not because it’s freaky or anything (although I’m sure it will freak some people out) but will it over shadow the whole movie?
