Now that Miramax and The Weinstein Company have smoothed things over in their troubled relationship, an announcement has been made this week that the pair will create a huge amount of sequels for the best known films in the Miramax library. The immediate films to be sequelized are Bad Santa, Shakespeare in Love and Rounders. Potential films to be sequelized in future are From Dusk Till Dawn, Bridget Jones' Diary, Clerks, Shall We Dance and The Amityville Horror. On top of this deal, Miramax will handle Blu-Ray editions of various films, with new features from the film's cast and Director. No date has been placed on any particular project as of yet. The companies are also pairing on the upcoming horror film, Scream 4, due in 2011.
