UPDATE TO THIS ARTICLE HERE WHERE ZIMMER IS NOT SCORING SUPES!
The supremely talented master of Soundtrack composition, Hans Zimmer has confirmed this week that he will scoring the music for Zack Snyder's Superman: Man Of Steel. This means that the iconic John Williams Superman theme is getting the axe, totally disassociating itself from the Richard Donner directed original. With the theme gone, it looks like Snyder and co. are really going for a complete overhaul with the franchise. And while words cannot describe my excitement for a Superman flick from the director of Watchmen, I just can't help be slightly bummed out by loosing the original theme. For those that haven't heard it (...really?! how?!) or for those that may have just forgotten it:

Either which way, I'm sure Zimmer will come up with something as excellent as his work on the Batman reboot with Chris Nolan.
