Collider broke the news last night, that Ireland's own Colin Farrell will take the lead role in Total Recall, a remake of the 1990 Schwarzenegger flick. In an interview with Collider, Neal Moritz, the film's producer noted several things. Firstly, the film will not be in 3D and Farrell will headline. Secondly, Len Wiseman (Die Hard 4.0) is directing and thirdly, the remake will be a big tent-pole film for Sony. Also, this version of Total Recall will run closer to the original source material, the Philip K. Dick novel 'We Can Remember It For You Wholesale'.
I'm pretty skeptical about this. Normally, I don't mind the certificate of a film, so long as it's actually good...but if this turns out to be a PG-13, softcore Total Recall, count me out!
