Scott Derrickson, director of such craptacular epics like The Day The World Stood Still and The Exorcism Of Emily Rose, has picked his new project. According to the always awesome guys at HeatVisionBlog, Derrickson will tackle the biblical tale of David and Goliath in, Goliath. The film is said to be taking a modern action adventure tone to it, ala 300. The flick found it's home at Relativity Media, where John D. Payne and Patrick McKay will scribe it. I find it odd that this is Derrickson's next flick, as while his previous two films have shared heavy religious undertones, Goliath will be flat out bible-based. Not that thats a bad thing, just odd that a Hollywood director would seek out such projects.
