I've got to admit, every time I see any news for the long gestured Preacher adaptation, my heart skips a beat. Partially cause of fear I'm about to read something I'm entirely against. And partially because every rumour could be a fact. And fact's mean the movie is finally getting made. Cloneweb caught up with D.J. Caruso (The Salton Sea, Disturbia) this week to talk about his next project; Preacher. In the interview (roughly translated), Caruso explains he's vying for Chris Pine (Star Trek, Unstoppable) for the role of Jesse Custer. He also says he's spoken with frequent collaborator Shia LeBeouf about playing the disfigured, misguided teen Arse-Face. The mention of Chris Pine actually has me excited, as his turn as Capt. Kirk was absolutely solid, so I could imagine him getting down for a good religious shit-kicking.
