As bizarre as that title sounds, I'm actually talking about two movies. Whilst we know that Black Swan auteur Darren Aronofsky is circling sci-fi movie Human Nature with George SeriousCheekyFace Clooney, /film are reporting that Disney are chasing him down to direct Maleficent, a Sleeping Beauty movie (she's the wicked witch) with Angelina Jolie, whilst Warner Bros. want him to direct a Moses movie. Intriguing.Maleficent had Tim Burton attached for a long time, but now he's not remotely involved and for a while I figured the movie would just vanish - despite Angelina being keen on starring. You can see why Aronofsky would be a good fit, in what would presumably be a gothic fairytale style blockbuster. Moses would be close, in ways, to his much cherished Noah project so I actually doubt he'll progress with it. Maleficent seems like a better bet, but at this stage it is all speculative. Exciting though, and don't think he'd avoid a blockbuster. He signed on for Wolverine remember.
