After last night's shocking close to a 10 year story of war, death and frustration, it became clear it would take merely months to get a Bin-Laden film on our screens. Each and every studio is more than likely clamoring to find the right script (and when I say right, I mean the most pro-American*) and begin shooting as soon as possible. Deadline got wind last night that Kathryn Bigelow's (The Hurt Locker) new flick, an indie based on the hunt for the Al-Queda leader, may be fast-tracked in to production to, essentially, be the first out of the gate. Given the American public's reaction to the news (just watch that clip of Penn State University) the first film, if done right, could make a lot of money. The site also confirms that Joel Edgerton (The Square, Warrior) is in talks to lead the film, most likely as the head of the elite team that killed Bin-Laden, but Bigelow has suggested that her film won't entirely center on the terrorist, so perhaps it's focused more on the military team?

*When I say pro-American, I don't mean it in a derogatory way, I simply mean the film that encapsulates the countries' feelings as of this day.
