Just yesterday it was announced Transporter 3 director Olivier Megaton would helm the sequel to 2008's smash hit, Taken. When I reported on it yesterday, I briefly mentioned Megaton's next movie, Colombiana, but knowing next to nothing on the film I declined to comment on it, although I did mention how craptacular Transporter 3 was. But the trailer has just hit (via Columbia Pictures) and it seems I panned the French director too soon. Of course, this is just a trailer, but it certainly strikes me as a strong action picture. It's great to see the beautiful and bad-ass Zoe Saldana (Star Trek, Avatar) headlining the film, too, as she's proven time and time again she's a highly capable actress. I know it's mentioned in the trailer, but it genuinely does seem like a modern, more hyper-aggressive version of La Femme Nikita.
