Attached to Pirates 3D there is a 3D version of the trailer, and whilst it is basically the same it features at least one AMAZING new bit of footage, displaying not only a great bit o' robot action but also, you can also see the robot properly as opposed to at a crazy zoomed in angle. Much has been said of how Bay has had to adapt his style to suit 3D and this could have great benefits in terms of seeing the action up on the screen. From all the feedback on the 3D itself, it sounds like we're looking at something that is a lot more Avatar than My Bloody Valentine 3D - exciting.
Honestly, I couldn't be more excited. In a time when even superhero movies are often trying to be as 'realistic' as possible, Transformers is an unashamed giant popcorn movie designed to be purely entertaining. We'll be able to see it a bit earlier now too, as the release date has been moved to Wednesday June 29th. If it wasn't for Harry Potter, I'd be putting money on this being the biggest hit of the summer. Check out the trailer below.
