Sam Raimi's Oz: The Great and Powerful is moving along swiftly, with a big star announcement for the cast now as Oscar winner Rachel Weisz is to play Evanorah, the older wicked witch who intends to take over the land of Oz. Previously announced Mila Kunis plays her sister, Theadora, with James Franco unfortunately playing the lead role. I hope he's not using this as some sort of experiment like hosting The Oscars clearly was....
Weisz though, is a brilliant actress and we've never seen her in a blockbuster of this size (The Mummy films wouldn't be as big, I'd say), so she's a great addition. Really interested to see how this one plays out - Raimi certainly isn't being predictable...
