After the success of Paranormal Activity, found footage movies are all the rage once again so it’s no surprise to see the genre blending with sci-fi. In fact, the director of the original Paranormal is working on Area 51, which looks set to ape his massive hit but with an alien twist. Much the same, at least in it’s idea, is Apollo 18, about a space trip gone BAAAAD.
The new trailer keeps up the mystique, but this looks like it could be good fun. Released by the Weinsteins and directed by Gonzalo Lopez-Gallago, the movie is released September 2.
