For a while this movie looked like it was going nowhere, but not anymore as Variety report that the Craig Gillespie movie has begun casting proper and girl-of-the-moment Emma Stone has been offered the lead role of Elizabeth Bennett, the same role that Keira Knightley played in the recent Pride & Prejudice adaptation. But that had no zombies.
The book is largely the same as the original, with zombie parts carefully inserted to give it a gruesome twist. If they get the tone right it could be great fun, and Stone is certainly a top choice. Lets hope she can do a decent accent if she takes it.
