It’s a victory for Professor X over Magneto, but for REAL! For a while now, Michael Fassbender had been connected to Danny Boyle’s heist thriller ‘Trance’. However, he’s now had to drop out (usual scheduling issues) and in his place comes his on-screen rival, James McAvoy.
Both are great actors so it’s not bad news by any stretch, and the film itself should shoot this year around preparation for the Olympics opening ceremony, which Boyle is directing. McAvoy has yet to formally sign on but it’s looking very likely, and we should see the movie in 2012 or 2013.
