The first official picture from the upcoming thriller, The Raven, has hit the net. The Raven sees John Cusack (pictured) play the master of the macabre, Edgar Allen Poe, as he joins forces with a Baltimore detective to hunt down a crazed serial killer whose methods are linked to Poe's stories. Directed by James McTeigue (Ninja Assassin, V For Vendetta) and co-starring Brendan Gleeson, Luke Evans and Alice Eve, The Raven hits cinemas March 9th, 2012.
I can't wait for this. As a huge Poe fan, I've always dreamed of a HBO series seeing the author hunt down killers and creatures of the night in a dark serial-style show. Seeing as that's not happening anytime soon, this is the next best thing! And Cusack has proven himself a solid actor time and time again, so colour me intrigued.
