Jonathan Demme, director of The Silence Of The Lambs and Philadelphia, has optioned Stephen King's upcoming novel 11/22/63 for a feature which he will write, direct and produce. The novel, which is set for release on November 8th in the States, follows Jake Epping, a Maine based English teacher who travels back in time to prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy. It seems like interesting subject matter and if done well, could be a fantastic thriller.
I have faith in you, Mr. Demme. You burned me with The Manchurian Candidate...but I have faith in you.
