Deadline has confirmed No Country For Old Men star Josh Brolin will headline Spike Lee's remake of the Korean masterpiece, Oldboy. No word on plot yet, but assuming it's relatively close to the original, Brolin will play a man who is kidnapped by a mysterious group and held in a small room for 15 years, only to be released and told he has 24 hours to find his captors and claim revenge.
I find myself wondering what the point of this is. It certainly doesn't help that Spike Lee is at the helm, but having Brolin sign on is a step in the right direction. Oldboy begins principal photography in March.
