You read that right, Sir Ridley Scott will direct a sequel to his classic 1982 science fiction film, Blade Runner. Deadline got word that Scott, having revisited his Alien universe for Prometheus, has decided to commit to Alcon Entertainment's sequel (or prequel...it's not specified). The original starred Harrison Ford and Sean Young and was considered a slight disappointment at the box office, grossing just over $27 million in it's first run. It's unclear at this point whether Ford will reprise his role as Rick Deckard.
