North Alaska is a popular place for movies, be they horror (30 Days of Night), sci-fi (Alien Vs. Predator) or intentionally controversial documentary (Sarah Palin: You Betcha!). Big Miracle, the lastest starring feature for Drew Barrymore, is something else entirely though – a feel good cockle-warming tale of whales in the ice.
It’s got one of those trailers that appears to give almost everything away, but the movie focuses on a family of whales trapped in the ice, with little hope of freedom until Barrymore comes along and starts to will people from all over to help save them. Check out the trailer below, the movie is released February 3rd and yes – it IS based on a true story!
