It’s quite easy to forget that Drive director Nicolas Winding-Refn has at least two movies lined up, neither of which are Wonder Woman (Only God Forgives, and Logans Run with Ryan Gosling). There’s also the rumoured sex-filled movie he has planned with Carey Mulligan…
Nevertheless, he keeps getting asked about Wonder Woman and seems no less keen about it – in a recent Empire webchat he answered some more questions;
Are the rumors about you making Wonder Woman true?
Nicolas Winding Refn says: I would LOVE to make Wonder Woman, I think I would be perfect to make Wonder Woman.
What would your vision of Wonder Woman be like? Kitchy and fun or dark and serious?

How similar would your Wonder Woman film be to Valhalla Rising?
Nicolas Winding Refn says: There's a lot of resemblance.
How do you feel about comic book movies in general?
Nicolas Winding Refn says:If they're great, I love them. I very much enjoyed Christopher Nolan's Batman movies, and I also enjoyed the first Iron Man. Captain America also seemed really interesting.
Really interesting is right. As I’ve said on many occasions, I LOVED Drive and it’s clear that Refn has the chops to take on the DC hero on screen – and Christina Hendricks is a brilliant choice. Here’s hoping the critical acclaim of Drive is only the start of his eventual road to Wonder Woman!!
Incidentally, Hendricks loves the idea too so no fear of her saying no and Carey Mulligan getting the role instead.
