Patty Jenkins, director of the Aileen Wuornos biopic, Monster, has been confirmed as director of Marvel's blockbuster sequel, Thor 2. The film, slated for November 15, 2013 in the US, will once again see Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder, presumably reuniting with his former cast mates, Natalie Portman and Kat Dennings. The studio confirmed Jenkins hiring today amid rumours that she'd been given the job due to her strong, character-driven work. The director's previous work also includes episodes of Entourage, The Killing and Arrested Development.
