Why mess with a winning formula? Hunger was a breakout hit for both star Michael Fassbender and director Steve McQueen, and they’ve both been getting a lot of accolades for their follow up, Shame. So it’s no surprise to hear that they’re reteaming to work on a period piece.
Also starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, the movie is based on the true story of Solomon Northrup, who was kidnapped in 1841 and rescued from a plantation in Louisiana in 1853. Sounds like it could potentially be very interesting, and with this cast and director, it’s definitely one to watch.
