The Lion King is doing a roaring trade in Ireland at the moment.
---
The Lion King 3D introduced the Circle of Life to a whole new generation as Disney’s epic animation opened to a mighty $533,000 (€390,000) across Irish cinemas this weekend. The UK/Ireland combined total for the opening weekend was $4.4 million (£2.8M). This makes it the highest opening weekend for a re-issue for 14 years - since the 1997 re-release of Star Wars IV: A New Hope.. This has helped bring the The Lion King 3D total global box office to date to $114.1M and with more markets yet to open, The Lion King is set to roar even louder over the coming days.---
