There’s no doubt that the buzz for Steve McQueen’s follow up to Hunger, Shame, is huge. Already a great success at festivals, Shame has garnered widespread acclaim for both the director and stars Michael Fassbender and Carey Mulligan.
The film focuses on Brandon (Fassbender), a successful single man in New York with an addiction to sex, and an extreme aversion to intimacy. Mulligan plays his sister who turns up to stay with him, as you can see from the trailer, things appear to go pretty awry. It looks stunning, with superb shots of New York and the score in this trailer too is fantastic. If it wasn’t already on your must-watch list, hopefully the trailer will change that!
Shame is released in December in the US, and January on this side of the pond.
