As you can see, a sneak-peek image has been posted for Matthew McConaughey’s new picture Mud. McConaughey plays the character of Mud, as an escaped convict who befriends a young boy and encourages him and his friend to help him get back with his girlfriend portrayed by Reese Witherspoon and also to dodge the bounty hunters which are perusing him.
From the picture it is clear to see this is far from the picturesque romcom characters we have been used to seeing him portray. McConaughey describes his character as “dreamer” who is “committed to this woman”. Not the classic type of love story, but it is a love story nonetheless. He believe the story is about what the young boy can learn about love from Mud.
Although the movie is not out until 2013, he has been very successful in one of his more recent roles The Lincoln Lawyer and some more exciting titles to follow in the coming months.
