Lawyers stop Elmo from being a Muppet
Lawyers representing Elmo from Sesame Street blocked the star from making a cameo appearance in the new Muppet movie. Director Jason Segel revealed in an interview with Ryan Seacrest recently that "a team of lawyers told us Elmo wasn't available," which is why you won't see him in the film. In normal circumstances Elmo wouldn’t really be associated with the Muppets, (they move in different circles don’t you know?) Although they have crossed paths several times over the years. Kermit the Frog being a former resident of Sesame Street would no doubt have welcomed Elmo with open arms but alas it wasn’t to be. Nothing has been reported on the make up of his Law team. The star was earmarked for a part in the movie playing a telethon host. It seems that Elmo, easily the best known out of Sesame Street may have had an ambition for the big screen but he wasn’t available for comment. it is a little surprising that the star had a team of lawyers as he doesn’t seem the type to need one, as Seacrest later said "Can you imagine going to law school, and that's what you're defending?"
