STEVEN SPIELBERG FOR MOSES MOVIE?
The folks at Warner Bros. have an interest in getting Steven Spielberg onboard for their Moses movie, Gods And Kings. And according to the folks over at Twitch the two parties have entered into formal talks. The movie, Gods And Kings aims to tell the story of Moses from beginning to end. So thats plagues, slavery and ten commandments amongst other set pieces that one could hope to see in the movie.
Either way, mainstream religious movies are not exactly a big draw are they? Surely if they were we’d have a lot more of them? That said The Passion Of The Christ made a godly sum of $611 million world wide. So if they are a draw for audiences, then why not flood cinemas with them? It’s certainly a question worth asking. The answer may lie in the fact the religion and religious texts can split and divide people in an instant.
