Russell Brand is in talks for another spooky project, after his failed attempt to get Rentaghost onto the big screen. The actor is in talks to play the lead role that is described as being somewhere in-between Willy Wonka and Beetlejuice. Paramount Studios is backing the project with Brand’s character helping a family adjusting to life in a new town; the project is still in need of a director. Reports suggest that writer Scott Rosenburg who was involved with High Fidelity, Con Air and err.. Kangaroo Jack sold the idea back in October. Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes team which focuses on horror projects is set to have a role in the proposed project. In the meantime Brand is set to appear in Rock of Ages as well as co-starring with Octavia Spencer and Julianne Hough in Diablo Cody’s directorial debut which is yet to have a title attached.
