Some people were disappointed with Die Hard 4.0, or Live Free Or Die Hard as it was known in America. I for one enjoyed it immensely, as John McClane's own brand of high property damage causing justice always puts a smile on my face. Now he will get to do it all over again in the fifth installment, tentatively titled A Good Day To Die Hard.
While Die Hard 4 introduced us to McClane's daughter, Lucy, we will get to meet her brother, Jack, in number five, recently announced to be played by Jai Courtney. Courtney is best known for his role as Varro in T.V. series Spartacus: Blood And Sand. The above picture is from the screen test that secured him the role.
The film will be directed by Irish born John Moore, best known for the fun Behind Enemy Lines, and not so fun Max Payne. Not much is known of the story, only that it will take place in Russia, and involves an attempt on the American president's life. Patrick Stewart was in talks to play one of the villains.
The film has the curious release date of Valentines Day 2013.
