Scheduled to hit cinemas Winter 2012, 'Wreck-It Ralph' is the newest animated feature from Walt Disney Pictures.
Set in a video game arcade, John C. Reilly voices Ralph, a Donkey Kong-like bad guy from one of the video games, who longs to be more like the game's Good Guy, Fix-It Felix (voiced by Jack McBayer). When the arcade gets a new machine, a modern first person shooter, Ralph sneaks in to win a medal, thus, in his mind, becoming a hero. It goes without saying not everything goes according to plan, and Ralph accidentally releases a deadly enemy who threatens the entire arcade. Teaming up with Vanellope Von Schweetz (Sarah Silver), a "glitch" from a cart racing game, he sets out to save the arcade and prove that he really is a Good Guy.
New pictures have surfaced showing some of the video game inspired locations from the film, such as the candy coated island that is home to the cart racing game Sugar Rush, the titular character's home, and a scene from the Halo-esque first person shooter Heroes Duty.
Applying the Toy Story formula to a video game setting, Wreck-It Ralph promises to be another family friendly hit from Disney.
